Facebook has introduced a video chat service called, "Messenger Rooms” in which up to 50 people can talk at a time. According to the news agency, the new chat service will be accessible via Facebook Messenger and video calls will also include Internet users who do not have a Facebook account. The company also plans to make the feature part of its other messaging apps, Instagram Director, and Whatsapp. You do not need to have a Facebook account or download the Messenger app to join the video chat room. According to the company, the lockdown has also led to a significant increase in the number of people making video calls on Facebook's messaging services, which is why the new feature has been introduced.
In this regard, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg says that this new part is part of Facebook's efforts to provide users with the opportunity to connect with each other through video. Mark Zuckerberg added: “It's not just about calling someone, it's a private social platform, the Building Block, which can be used for a variety of purposes.”
Facebook assures that it does not listen to users,' calls and that people have control over privacy. According to Facebook, more than 700 million users make daily audio and video calls on Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, and in some countries, the call rate has doubled during the Coronavirus epidemic.
