Chinese tech giant Tencent says its mobile phone action game, PubG Mobile, has crossed one billion downloads outside China.
Since then, the online game PubG has become one of the most successful games in the world.
According to the British news agency 'Reuters,' PubG Mobile is a mobile version of Player in Nun's BattleGrounds, in which a group of players fights with each other until only one player is left.
This online game has been popular since it was launched 3 years ago.
Following the latest figures for PubG Mobile's downloads, it has now overtaken Kilo Games' Subway Surfers and King Digital Entertainment's Candy Crush Saga.
According to data analytics firm Sensor Tower, both games are easy to play, and many people like them. An analyst at Nico Partners said that the one billion downloads of PubG Mobile meant that other games like this could reach the same place.
The world's largest video game company in terms of revenue has another similar game in China called Peacekeeper Elite.
The announcement comes as Tencent announced that its online games revenue rise 29% in the fourth quarter, leading to an increase in the number of users playing video games in the Chinese and international markets.
According to the company, their two-hit games, the Owner of Kings and PubG Mobile, topped the Chinese and international markets in the same quarter.
How Is The Game Played?
In this game, two teams compete against each other, from one player to 100 players connected through the Internet.
Players from both teams get off the plane, first looking for weapons and then shooting the player in front of them. In the end, the surviving winner is given a "chicken dinner" in honor.
