Xiaomi Mi Max Fold
Xiaomi has unveiled its first foldable smartphone, the Mi Max Fold, at the Xiaomi Mega Launch. The Mi Max Fold is one of the most unique and expensive smartphones Xiaomi has offered in the last few years. This Xiaomi handset has a folding display as well as many other modern and next-generation features.
The Mi Max Fold's exterior folding design resembles a book with the main screen on the inside and a small secondary screen on the outside.
The main screen of this folding smartphone from Xiaomi is an 8.01-inch OLED panel with 1440 pixels but no punch holes or notches. The Mi Max Fold supports DCIP3 games and HDR10 Plus, and Dolby Vision for the best color display.
Its external screen is equipped with an AMOLED display which is 6.52 inches and has a resolution of 840*2,520, and it also has a punch hole selfie camera while the primary camera can also be used for selfies.
According to the company, its folding hinge is durable and weighs 27% less than similar folding folds. The Mimax is equipped with a folded quad-speaker system that uses Harmon Cardin hardware for excellent sound.
Xiaomi has also developed its 3D audio algorithm for 3D sound.
The Mi Max Fold flagship is equipped with Snapdragon 888 chips and is available in two different memories 12GB / 256GB and 12GB / 512GB.
Both of these memories have UFS 3.1 for support and LPDDR5 RAM for best performance.
There is a cooling mechanism in the Mi Max Fold that will reduce the heat through 5G antennas, processor, and charging mechanism.
The Mi Max Fold's primary camera is a 108-megapixel Samsung GN2 sensor, along with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto 30x zoom lens that can zoom up to 3 cm. They also include Xiaomi's new liquid lens technology, the Mi 11 Ultra.
All these cameras are equipped with Xiaomi's in-house image process, Serge C1, capable of better image quality and autofocus.
There's also 67-watt fast charging support for the 5020 mAh battery, which is currently the fastest of any folding phone.
The Mi Max Fold 12GB / 256GB is priced at $1,520 (234,000) in China, which is significantly less than other flagship phones, while the 12GB / 512GB is priced at $1,670 (257,000). While international prices will be higher.
