WhatsApp, the world's largest mobile messaging app said in a statement that certain mobile users can use the service until December 31, as the service will be discontinued on certain smartphones from January 1, 2021.

the company, users, using smartphones with Android 4.0.3 or older operating the system will not be able to use the service from January 1, as well as iPhone
users with iOS 9 or older operating system. They will not be
iPhone's users who are using iPhone 4S, 5, 5S, iPhone 6, and 6S models will not be able to use WhatsApp on their mobiles.
Similarly, Android users who are using Samsung Galaxy S2, Motorola Droid Razr, LG Optimus Black or HTC Desire will not be able to use the service.
Note that before this, on December 31, 2019, WhatsApp had stopped supporting all phones running Windows operating system.
Similarly, support for phones running the Android 2.3.7 or earlier OS was discontinued in February 2020.
Before Windows Phone, WhatsApp has discontinued support for BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40, Nokia Samba S60, Android 2.1, Android 2.2, Windows Phone 7, iPhone 3G / iOS 6.
The company advised consumers to upgrade their mobile operating system before January 1 for uninterrupted service. Users using Android and iOS can easily find out their operating systems.
Android users go to settings and click on the About Phone option there, then information about the software will appear.
Similarly, users using iOS will see the General option when they click on Settings, by clicking on it, they can find out about the operating system.
