Motorola Edge S Budget Phone

Motorola has introduced the new flagship phone, Edge S, which is surprisingly cheaper than Chinese companies' devices. The phone is the first to go on sale in China.

Processor, Design & Display

The Edge S Features Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 870 processor. It has a 7nm, 8-core processor that will help a Cortex A78-core smartphone run at 3.2 GHz. The Motorola Edge S has 5G support, while the 6.7-inch IPS LCD display comes with a 90 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support.

Storage & Battery

The Phone comes with 6 to 8 GB RAM and 128 to 256 GB storage. The Edge S comes with a 5000 mAh battery with 20-watt fast charging support.

Other Feature & Operating System

The phone is IP52 splash-proof, with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a box with a charger, screen protector, cable, and case. This phone with an Android 11 operating system has dual SIM support.

Cameras

The phone has a total of 6 cameras, 4 on the back and a dual-camera setup on the front. The phone's back comes with a 64-megapixel main camera with an F1.7 aperture that can record 6K video at 3 frames per second. The 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera has a face detector autofocus, a 2-megapixel fixed-focus depth sensor, and a TOF sensor. The front of the phone has a 16-megapixel main and 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a punch-hole design. 

Price & Availability

The phone will be available in pre-order in China from January 26 and available to consumers on February 3.

Edge S 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage model 1,999 Chinese Yuan (over 49 thousand Pakistani rupees), 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage version 2,399 Chinese Yuan (over 59 thousand Pakistani rupees) while The phone with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage will be available for 2,799 Chinses Yuan (more than 69 thousand Pakistani rupees).
