Websites, mobile apps, and any online service on the Internet require a username and password. Unfortunately, most people use the same password in most services, or it is so weak that it cannot protect sensitive data. After hacking into an individual's account, most hackers try combining usernames and passwords with other services.
With this in mind, Google has made a great update to Chrome that will help you manage all your passwords in one place. Version 88 of Google Chrome adds a new password manager that will provide support for password security.
To do this, first, update Google Chrome and then open the Google homepage. In the right corner, you click on the profile image, then go to the option of the key icon at the bottom, and then go to the check password option. Doing so will bring up a new screen where Google will tell you which services' passwords have been hacked in the past and which passwords are weak.
Google is not the first company to offer such a service, but Chrome is the most used browser globally, so this is a beneficial update in this regard. This process has been made much easier by going into which all the passwords that can cause problems can be fixed.
This feature is available on the web version of Chrome, you just need to update the browser, but it will be introduced in Android soon. However, it has been introduced for iPhone and iPad users.
According to Google, Chrome's safety check tool is used by 14 million people every week, which has reduced the incidence of hacking in Chrome by 37%. Chrome 88 has undergone several changes, including better light and dark themes and more.
